Push handles, hand rims and arm supports are part of everyday use. Start by identifying the surfaces you touch, then check the care instructions for each material.

Use only compatible cleaning products and methods specified for your equipment. A guide for the frame may not apply to cushions, fabrics or controls. Cleaning visible dirt is not a promise of disinfection.

Powered mobility needs care.

Controls, charging ports and electrical components are not ordinary washable surfaces. Keep liquids away from them and do not spray or pressure wash sensitive electronics.

Consult your model’s manual before cleaning or preparing equipment. Follow its instructions for power isolation and surface care rather than adapting advice from a different chair.

Prepare for your visit.

• Share the equipment model and manufacturer care instructions.
• Tell us which compatible surfaces need attention and identify sensitive components.
• Arrange any support or alternative equipment you need: equipment must be empty during cleaning.
• Discuss removable parts in advance; do not alter seating or harness settings for a clean.
