Who is responsible
J-Matt Limited Inc., operating as J-Matt Mobility Detailers, is responsible for personal information collected through this website, under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Our Privacy Officer can be reached using the contact details at the end of this policy.
What we collect
When you book: your name, email, phone, service address and city, equipment type, chosen services, preferred date and time, any notes you add, and the time and version of the terms you agreed to. Payments are handled by Stripe; we receive payment status and references, never your full card number.
How we use it
To schedule and deliver your cleaning, contact you about your booking, process payments and refunds, keep required business and tax records, and handle questions or complaints. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who can see it
Within J-Matt, only the owner and any staff member assigned to your visit can see your booking details, through individual accounts with access controls.
Service providers that help us run the business process information on our behalf: Stripe (payment processing — see Stripe's privacy policy), Supabase (secure database and sign-in services), and our website hosting provider.
How we protect it
Booking records are stored in an access-controlled database, and sign-in to staff areas requires individual accounts. Payment card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and never touch our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we limit access to those who need it for your service.
How long we keep it
Under PIPA, if we use your personal information to make a decision that directly affects you, we keep it for at least one year so you can access it. Otherwise, we keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet tax, accounting and legal record-keeping requirements, and then securely delete or anonymize it. Unpaid, expired checkout requests are removed after a shorter period.
Your choices and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or withdraw consent where that doesn't conflict with legal record-keeping. Contact our Privacy Officer using the details below.
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If we can't, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
